Project Overview

T-Ross Brothers Construction completed a specialized industrial construction project for Magee Reiter Automotive Services in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, installing raised and reinforced concrete foundations designed to support new production equipment and a jib crane.

The project required precise structural work within an active facility, with the entire installation completed in just 10 days without interrupting the owner’s ongoing operations.

The Challenge

Installing foundations for heavy industrial equipment within an operating facility presents significant logistical and structural challenges.

Existing concrete flooring needed to be removed, the underlying sub-grade evaluated, and new foundations constructed to support the loads associated with production equipment and crane operations. At the same time, Magee Reiter needed to maintain normal business operations throughout construction.

With a tight schedule and approximately 130 cubic yards of reinforced concrete required, careful planning and coordination were essential.

Our Solution

T-Ross Brothers began by removing the existing concrete floor and performing sub-grade compaction testing to verify the stability of the underlying material.

Once testing was complete, our team coordinated the forming, reinforcing, and concrete placement required for the raised equipment foundations. Approximately 130 cubic yards of reinforced concrete were placed to create a durable structural system capable of supporting the new production equipment and jib crane.

Through careful sequencing and coordination with the owner, the work was completed within the required 10-day timeframe while allowing the facility to remain operational.
