Project Overview
T-Ross Brothers Construction completed the construction of the K&M Tire facility in Hughesville, Pennsylvania, delivering a purpose-built commercial and industrial facility designed to support tire storage, distribution, and daily operations.
The facility combines durable steel and reinforced concrete construction with expansive interior space and carefully planned access points to accommodate inventory, equipment movement, shipping, receiving, and the demands of a fast-paced distribution operation.
The Challenge
Distribution facilities require a different approach than traditional commercial construction. The K&M Tire project needed to accommodate large volumes of inventory, frequent commercial deliveries, equipment movement, and daily warehouse activity while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
The building also needed durable structural and flooring systems capable of handling heavy industrial use, along with efficient building systems that would provide reliable year-round performance and support future growth.
Our Solution
T-Ross Brothers coordinated all phases of construction, including site coordination, excavation, foundations, masonry, concrete work, steel building construction, and building systems installation.
The facility features a steel-framed structural system with reinforced concrete foundations and floor systems engineered for durability. Multiple overhead doors and personnel access points were incorporated to improve shipping, receiving, and movement throughout the facility.
High-performance insulation, HVAC systems, electrical service, lighting, and power distribution were integrated to create an efficient and comfortable working environment while helping reduce long-term operating and maintenance requirements.
