Project Overview
T-Ross Brothers Construction served as the general contractor for Grove Street Commons in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, constructing a modern affordable housing community designed specifically for independent senior living. Developed for SEDA-COG Housing and designed by Architectural Concepts, the project consists of a 36,000-square-foot, 32-unit senior housing facility focused on accessibility, safety, comfort, and energy efficiency.
The Challenge
Senior housing construction requires careful consideration of accessibility, life-safety systems, resident comfort, and long-term building performance. The Grove Street Commons project needed to provide affordable housing while creating a safe, comfortable environment where older residents could maintain their independence.
The project also required coordination of modern building systems and energy-efficient features while meeting the specialized needs of a multi-unit residential development.
Our Solution
T-Ross Brothers constructed the two-and-a-half-story facility with elevator access, a complete fire alarm system, and full sprinkler protection throughout the building.
The apartments and common areas were designed to provide a welcoming residential environment, while high-efficiency building technologies and modern construction systems were incorporated to improve energy performance and long-term operational efficiency. T-Ross Brothers coordinated closely with the ownership and design teams throughout construction to ensure the facility met both operational and resident needs.
