East Lycoming Branch – River Valley Regional YMCA

Project Overview

T-Ross Brothers Construction completed the East Lycoming Branch of the River Valley Regional YMCA in Muncy, Pennsylvania, delivering a modern recreational and wellness facility designed to serve individuals and families throughout the surrounding community.

Completed in collaboration with Cornerstone Design Associates, the project was delivered through T-Ross Brothers Construction’s Commercial, Design-Build, and Steel Building services and utilized a pre-engineered steel building system to provide the flexibility, durability, and open spaces required for a multi-purpose community facility.

The Challenge

YMCA facilities bring together a wide variety of uses under one roof, each with different structural, mechanical, environmental, and operational requirements.

The East Lycoming Branch needed to accommodate aquatic facilities, fitness and aerobic spaces, locker rooms, community gathering areas, and public amenities while maintaining efficient circulation throughout the building. The natatorium and spa presented additional requirements for mechanical systems and environmental control that needed to be carefully integrated with the rest of the facility.

Our Solution

T-Ross Brothers coordinated the design and construction of a versatile facility centered around health, wellness, recreation, and community engagement.

The completed YMCA includes a natatorium, spa, fitness and aerobic rooms, locker rooms, café and seating area, community room, lobby, bathrooms, vestibule, corridors, stairs, and mechanical support spaces.

A pre-engineered steel building system provided an efficient structural solution while allowing for the large, flexible interior spaces needed for fitness, recreation, and aquatic activities. Throughout the project, our team coordinated structural and mechanical systems with the facility’s various public-use areas to create an efficient and welcoming environment.
