Amato’s Pizza Addition

Project Overview

T-Ross Brothers Construction completed an addition and expansion project for Amato’s Pizza in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, increasing the restaurant’s dining capacity while maintaining the character and architectural appearance of the existing facility.

The project included construction of an approximately 30-foot by 28-foot addition connected directly to the existing dining room, providing additional interior space to accommodate the restaurant’s growing operations and customer seating needs.

The Challenge

Expanding an existing restaurant required careful integration between the new construction and the original building while allowing the business to continue operating during the project.

The addition needed to provide meaningful new dining space while appearing as a natural extension of the existing restaurant. Matching masonry, rooflines, exterior finishes, and architectural details was essential to creating a cohesive finished appearance.

Our Solution

T-Ross Brothers constructed the addition beginning with new concrete footings and block foundation systems, followed by structural framing, masonry construction, roofing, and exterior finish work.

Detailed brick masonry was incorporated to complement the existing building, including a distinctive large arched masonry opening on the front elevation that created a new architectural focal point.

A new gable roof system, decorative trim, brick masonry, and complementary roofing materials were carefully coordinated to integrate the addition with the original restaurant.

Throughout construction, our team coordinated the new work with the existing occupied facility to minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
